…In the IRS, that is.
Via the Washington Examiner’s J.P. Freire:
A new analysis by the Joint Economic Committee and the House Ways & Means Committee minority staff estimates up to 16,500 new IRS personnel will be needed to collect, examine and audit the new tax information Obamacare requires families and small businesses to provide.
(And let’s not forget, these are cushy federal jobs.)
Let’s get this straight. An expansive, expensive health care plan will:
- Hike taxes and fees on businesses and average Americans, killing jobs in the process.
- Benefit bureaucrats – specifically, bureaucrats who have a vested interest in keeping our tax code punitive and complex, because it gives them job security.
- Add to the deficit (when computed correctly) – which will weaken our economy and lead to inflation.
Does that sound like a recipe for economic growth to you?
