The Factual Feminist (also known as AEI’s Christina Hoff Sommers) this week deals with the current panic over sexual assault on campuses. Some of this panic is engendered by bogus statistics.
The Facual Feminist worries that the atmosphere is becoming so charged that a “guilty until proven innocent” atmosphere is developing. “Presumed guilty is the new legal principle where sex is concerned,” she says. “This movement will not help victims, but it will turn our campuses into hostile environments for free speech and due process.”
