Here at the Independent Women’s Forum we stand up for women.

Women being oppressed by men.

So I want to express my 100 percent sympathy for U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who, as the New York Post points out in a cogent editorial, is a woman being oppressed by a man.

The man in question is President Barack Obama. Or at least some members of his White House staff who have got to be male.

As the Post editorial board asks:

Who at the White House feels compelled to send women of color out to humiliate themselves on national TV?

The Post is pointing, of course, to the idiotic explanation Lynch was clearly forced to offer for the FBI’s blacking out all references to ISIS and Islam when it released the transcripts of terrorist Omar Mateen’s 911 calls as he was in the process of slaughtering 49 people at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub on June 12.

All the more idiotic because everybody knows that Mateen had clearly aligned himself with ISIS and radical Islam, and everybody knows that the Obama administration is busily trying to turn the massacre into a gun-control story instead of the terrorism story that it actually is.

So, as the Post points out:

Fine: President Obama wants to make this about gun control, not terrorism — but ham-handed editing only calls attention to what you’re deleting, and to Obama’s peevish rules against uttering terms like “radical Islam.”…

All the omissions did was make Team Obama look determined to keep its head in the sand about the nature of the enemy.

Even the “explanations” sounded dumb. Here’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch on ABC’s “This Week”: “What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s  pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda.”

Further his propaganda? Seriously? The answer to Islamist jihad is to black out the     words?

And boy did that redacting look stupid!

“In the name of God the merciful, the beneficial (in Arabic),” Mateen said during  his call at about 2:35 a.m. on June 12.

“Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of (Arabic). I     let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”

The operator asked Mateen his name. “My name is I pledge of allegiance to (omitted),” Mateen responded “I pledge  allegiance to (omitted), may God protect him (in Arabic), on behalf (omitted).”

Finally, after House Speaker Paul Ryan called the omissions “preposterous,” the Obama administration relented on Monday and released the information that everybody knew: that Mateen was talking about ISIS and its crazy caliph.

As the Post editorial noted:

Four years ago, Team Obama made then-UN Ambassador Susan Rice tour all the Sunday shows to blame the deadly Benghazi attack on an Internet video, rather than     on the terrorist plot they all knew it was. She looked a fool once the administration     finally admitted the truth, just as Loretta Lynch does now.

So I’ve got to ask what the Post asks: What kind of problem does Obama have with women?
