Grubbhub CEO Matt Maloney is proud of the inclusiveness of his company. Alas, inclusiveness only goes so far:

The CEO of Grubhub, an online food delivery service, sent a company wide email Wednesday suggesting employees who agree with President-elect Donald Trump’s behaviors and his campaign rhetoric should resign.

“If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here,” wrote Matt Maloney, Co-Founder of Grubhub. “We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team."

Conservatives are often accused of being intolerant, but, honestly, this takes the cake.

Of course, Mr. Maloney has every right to create the kind of corporate culture he wants. Moreover, he has every right to send this email to his workforce. But it is unfortunate that he did so.

We feel bad for employees who are informed that, if they can't tailor their political views to those of their boss, they deserve to lose their livelihoods. But Maloney's brand of "tolerance" has become all too common.

I know a lot of people who were unhappy when President Obama was elected, but I never heard of anybody threatening somebody's job because she voted for President Obama. In the waning days of the presidential campaign, the media became preoccupied with whether Donald Trump would "accept" the outcome of the election.

But now it appears that a number of Clinton voters are unable to accept our proud tradition of the orderly transfer of power. Here's a headline from the Daily Mail:

Anti-Trump protests turn violent: Cops clash with 6,000-strong crowd in Oakland and activists block roads in LA amid nationwide demonstrations that saw Madonna and Cher join 7,000 in NYC

The story notes:

As many as 7,500 demonstrators were believed to have been split between the two locations, chanting 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Donald Trump, go away, racist, sexist, anti-gay.'

Ironically, Trump is pro-gay, as he went out of his way to make clear at the GOP convention. He also has reached out to African Americans (infuriating Democrats).

Just remind me not to use Grubbhub. Let's call it a  peaceful protest.
