White House spokesman Sarah Huckabee Sanders may face constant ridicule from sources such as Saturday Night Live and progressive comedians (it’s oxymoron Thursday), but a poll by YouGov puts her ninth in a list of “World’s Most Admired.”

I missed this poll until Snopes undertook to verify a claim made about the poll on a conservative website. Snopes reports of the claim:

This is true. In April 2018, the UK-based polling firm YouGov published the results of its “World’s Most Admired” survey. Respondents in the United States ranked Huckabee Sanders the ninth most admired woman in the world. (You can view the United States’ rankings by choosing “USA” from the drop-down list of countries.)

Huckabee Sanders was ranked behind Nobel Peace Prize-winner Malala Yousafzai, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Queen Elizabeth II and Oprah Winfrey. The woman Americans admire most, according to the survey, is Michelle Obama. Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was ranked fourth.

Former President Barack Obama came in first among American men, with President Trump ranked just behind him as second. This put him ahead of Pope Francis, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Clint Eastwood and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

First Lady Melania Trump came in tenth.

Well, take it for what it’s worth–a lot of these polls really measure name recognition.

However, this does seem to indicate that Ms. Sanders is able to rise above the constant barrage of criticism and ridicule to which she is subjected by the media and other members of the cultural elite.
