If you're interested in the new Duke lacrosse lawsuit that I reported on last week, you should check out this website dedicated to the case. Among other things, the website has the text of the complaint and a video of the news conference where the complaint was announced.
Duke's response to the lawsuit is available here.

It is pathetic what these players had to go through last year. Fortunately, justice, decency and better sense prevailed. I feel the players are piling on now, however. Duke University is more than just the administration. It is the alumni, faculty, staff and, most importantly, students. It's hard for me to see how an entire university can be considered responsible for the harm done to the players. Unquestionably, there were irresponsible individuals, but an entire university? If necessary, single out the administrators and faculty that caused the damage. It would be far more effective in preventing future incidents. Don't make the entire university pay for the mistakes of the few. I think Duke is being sued because everyone assumes that's where the deep pockets and resources are. Unfortunately, that's not where the responsibility lies. It lies with the individual faculty, staff, students and alumni that slandered and demoralized these kids. Duke can't be responsible for their individual behavior.

In most, if not all, states it is a crime to fail to assist the victims of an accident. While many of the faculty, staff, students and alumni are guilty of slandering and demoralizing those young men, the rest of Duke community are just as guilty for doing absolutely nothing while lives were being destroyed.
