Visiting Fellow

Leslie Sanchez is visiting fellow with the Independent Women's Forum and owner of IMPACTO GROUP LLC, a marketing research firm, which analyzes trends and measures opinions in the American Latino community. She is a frequent guest on FOX, CNN, MSNBC and PBS.

Most recently, Sanchez served as executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans where she was President George W. Bush's point person on education issues pertaining to the Hispanic community. A veteran of numerous local, state and federal political and grassroots campaigns, Sanchez oversaw the Republican National Committee's 2000 national Hispanic vote strategy.

Prior to joining the Republican National Committee, Sanchez served as a legislative aide to U.S. Representative Henry Bonilla, where she assisted him in his work as a member of the House Appropriations Committee, monitoring appropriations for the Departments of Commerce, Justice, State, Treasury and Transportation.

A native of Texas, Sanchez was selected for the Fourth Annual Young Hispanic Leaders Program, where she earned a diploma at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in Santander, Spain. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from The George Washington University and a master of business administration from Johns Hopkins University.
