When I was a freshman at Bucknell in 2001, the men's wrestling team lost its varsity status in a Title IX struggle. It was really sad situation (for details check out pages 10 and 11 of this issue of the Counterweight, Bucknell's conservative magazine) without a lot of hope. These cuts happen all the time and teams rarely get resurrected from the dead.
But then something miraculous happened - Bucknell recently reinstated the wrestling program. And, as ESPN reports today, they are doing really well. So, as we say in Lewisburg, 'Ray Bucknell!
