Philadelphia’s police are “insulted” that Hillary Clinton has excluded the families of slain police while inviting the mothers of Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown to speak at the Democratic National Convention, the union said in a news release.

“It is sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country,” said Philadelphia Lodge 5’s president, John McNesby. “Mrs. Clinton, you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the state police union is also not happy with Clinton’s choice of speakers.

Though the lineup doesn’t include families of murdered cops, a former Philadelphia police commissioner, Charles Ramsey, will be speaking, as will a New York Police Department detective who helped with World Trade Center rescue on September 11.

The umbrage taken by Philadelphia’s police union comes just weeks after Clinton visited Philadelphia’s African Methodist Episcopal Church, delivering a speech largely focused on tensions between black communities and law enforcement.

She decried “implicit bias” in policing and called for an end to the “systemic racism that plagues our country.” She also told the church that “we know there is clear evidence that African Americans are much more likely to be killed in police incidents than any other group of Americans.”

But in the speech, Clinton also praised the Dallas police officers who died “protecting peaceful march—there is nothing more vital to democracy than that, and they died for that.” She added that “we cannot, we must not vilify police officers.”

The Philadelphia police union’s comments are the latest labor controversy surrounding the Democratic National Convention.

Last week, airport workers seeking to unionize announced they are planning a walk-off, possibly disrupting travel. As a result, some delegates have changed travel plans, avoiding Philadelphia’s airport so they don’t have to cross a picket line.
