We deplore sexual harassment as much as the next gal, but get this one from the Chicago Tribune. “A Federal jury Wednesday awarded a woman patrol officer for the Cook County Forest Preserve District $3 million in damages for sexual harassment and retaliation.” The offenses numbered three — dirty photos in her mailbox, a rumor that she was married, and one belly bump.
It could be that women are lining up all over Chicago for a $3 million belly bump. But they better take care not to get robbed or mugged in Forest Preserve — that cash-strapped police department is spending its money elsewhere.
