In Bangor, Maine some unfortunate tiny tots have found themselves under attack — by their school leaders! A group of militantly anti-war teachers have stepped beyond preaching peace and are attempting to indoctrinate students with the idea that their military parents are immoral.
According to a local television report, “What the kids are facing is hearing that their mother or father is a bad person for taking part in the confrontation with Iraq; comments that are coming from teachers.” According to Bangor local Major Andrew Gibson: “Some kids have even reported that…teachers have said things to them, specifically, about the…unethical nature of their parent going off to fight.”
Rather than singling out students for ridicule, Maine educators should get back to the basics.
