Who’s the hottest “hit” for internet search engines? According to Reuters entertainment news, some internet search engines are reporting that Britney “Hit Me Baby” Spears has been taken down a few notches in favor of search terms focusing on war.
In the U.K. especially, internet users have shown a dramatic decrease in their search for sex-related web pages in favor search terms such as of “regime-change” and “Iraqi Freedom.”
Even sweeter, in an ironic twist, “Iraq” knocked whiny anti-war girl group the Dixie Chicks from their coveted top stop on Yahoo’s Buzz Index. Just goes to show that when the going gets tough, the public gets serious.
