According to the most recent New York Times opinion poll, 74 percent of Americans and 61 percent of all Democrats believe that President Bush is doing a good job in office, and 79 percent give a thumbs-up to his handling of Iraq.
Even in more lefty Britain, an upsurge of support is taking place: 63 percent of the populace approves of allied war efforts, and 32 percent of them believe the war has made the world a safer place. Even the French might be coming around. According to a BBC report “now just 55 percent of French people still agree that France was right to refuse to become involved in a military campaign against Iraq.”
