Hooters, the restaurant best known for skimpily-clad waitresses and sub-par Buffalo wings, is heading into court to protect its “intellectual property.”

It seems that Hooters has hard feelings over some alleged “trade dress infringement” in the Orlando area. The local Ker’s Wing House is charged with anteing up unfair competition to the Hooters waitresses thanks to equally tiny outfits. Ker’s has filed for dismissal, rightly claiming that sex appeal predates the Hooter’s chain.

Even if Ker’s happens to overwhelm Hooters’ Orlando business’ — unlikely, since the restaurants have already been in direct competition for ten years — at least Hooters can turn to its other business ventures for a fast buck. Its recent development of Hooters Air should provide busty in-air entertainment for those willing to fly their friendly skies.
