Look out plain, old plastic Ken! Barbie has a new boy buddy — Fashion Insider Ken, who’s styled to be just as vain as the blonde bombshell herself.
But the pretty-boy Fashion Insider Ken doesn’t come cheap: the eleven-and-one-half inch tall molded plastic dolls run around one hundred dollars. What makes this Ken doll so darn special? In addition to being made from fancy vinyl (Ohh! Ahh!), he’s able to flash a magical press pass to guarantee instant access to the hottest fashion shows. At least that’s what the press releases tell us.
So maybe the newest Ken-doll isn’t quite worthy of huge press. But we still see an up-side to his introduction: maybe the gender study types will find a new twist to their tired old Barbie gripe now that Fashion Insider Ken is around!
