It’s not too late to cast your vote in USA Today’s poll assessing support for the bill sponsored by Rep. Mark Souder, R-Indiana, that would replace Franklin D. Roosevelt’s image on the dime with that of Ronald Reagan. Both were great presidents, but Ronnie might be the more apt role model for our young people nowadays because he didn’t smoke. Besides, FDR didn’t have to be mocked in a TV miniseries while too disabled to defend himself. They didn’t do that kind of thing 60 years ago. The USA Today poll is almost a month old, but it’s still circulating via e-mail, evidently by Democrats distraught that Ronnie is so far beating Franklin by a 62-38 percent margin. So don’t forget to vote!
