The Independent Women’s Forum is proud to announce that Deborah Perry Piscione’s outstanding debate participation on National Public Radio’s “Justice Talking” has won the show a Gracie Allen Award from the American Women in Radio and Television.
Ms. Piscione, a senior fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum and co-author of the bestselling book: Unfinished Business: A Democrat and Republican Take on the 10 Most Important Issues Women Face, debated Dr. Heidi Hartmann, founder of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.
The program, entitled “Golf and Gender Discrimination” aired on February 24, 2003, and discussed the controversy over Augusta National Golf Club’s male-only membership.
The awards will be presented on June 21, 2004, in New York City.
