Washington Post columnist Jim Hoagland is often excellent, but today he devotes his column to lecturing the London bombers for inconsiderately attacking when the G8 Summit was scheduled to talk about poverty in Africa:

“Cowardly killers such as these care not a whit about raising Africans out of poverty,” writes Hoagland, “fighting AIDS and climate change, or addressing any of the other worthy topics on the Group of Eight agenda constructed by the British prime minister. If Africa is buried under the collateral damage of these blasts, so be it; this is their attitude.”

Will Hoagland’s next epiphany be that they don’t support the Kyoto Treaty?
