Roger L. Simon of Pajamas Media notes this item from Drudge reporting that the execs at Paramount Studios decided to leave former Veep (and 2008 presidential hopeful–dream on!) Al Gore’s name off the posters for his enviro-panic flick “An Inconvenient Truth.” The movie, by the way, has taken in all of $2 million during its two-week nationwide run, so far.
Here’s Drudge:
“‘It’s not a political movie,’ a top source at PARAMOUNT explained, offering no other explanation on why Gore’s name does not appear, even in the film’s credits on the poster.
“A rival studio executive claims marketing research showed little audience interest in a movie starring Al Gore.”
