New York Post columnist John Podhoretz points out that, with the torture and killing of two U.S. soldiers,  our enemies in Iraq have taken the war to a new and more dangerous phase. They are doing this because they are vicious–and because they are losing.

The upsetting thing is that the U.S. media has given insufficient attention to documents found in Zarqawi’s stash, papers indicating that the terrorists are losing.

Military expert (and NY Post columnist) Ralph Peters had a piece last week on these papers. He noted that a key captured document stated that “time is beginning to be of service to the American forces.”  How to combat U.S. successes?

“In their own words,” writes Peters “‘use the media for spreading an effective and creative image of the resistance.’ That is, exploit the prejudices of the Western media, the terrorists’ last allies.”

Important to remember this.
