Alicia Colon of The New York Sun notes that the Times of London is attempting to cast presidential candidate Clinton as a resolute, strong-on-defense figure in the mold of Margaret Thatcher.
But, of course, as Colon remarks, the only thing these two people have in common is their gender. Remember, for example, that Thatcher gave her unqualified support to whatever British troops needed during the Falkland Islands conflict in 1982. And contrast this with Clinton’s fence-straddling on how much support to give to our troops to secure Iraq, even though she did vote for the war.
Clinton as “Iron Lady?” So much blather.
