The really hot news from Iowa is that a number of people seem to have found Senator Clinton warm and or human. But, of course, it was The Gaffe that dominated coverage: When asked if she thought a woman could deal with the “evil men” on the world’s stage, Hillary paused for effect, giving the some in the crowd the impression that Mrs. Clinton was making a body language joke about bad Bill as preparation for anything the international situations could throw at her. She gracelessly said that she was thinking of the evil men in the Bush administration. Yes, it was a misstep, but she had it coming: here is a candidate for president who bases much of her campaign rhetoric on being a woman. “Think how you felt when Nancy Pelosi became speaker,” she urged.

Yes, think about that.

And, remember, this elections is all about your feelings as a woman.
