I agree with Allison that we shouldn’t be surprised to find that there are differences between the way men and women operate in the office. I just think that the latest study (see this item from Fox) plays into cliches. You know, we like to network, need role models, etc. Christine Rosen did an article (no longer available) for the Women’s Quarterly that showed that women rulers are actually more ruthless. That played against stereotype. The report plays to stereotype.
