This Sunday marks the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic–an event in which 74% of the women onboard lived, while 80% of the men onboard died.  In the ultimate act of chivalry, women and children got the valuable spots in the lifeboats while most of the men were left behind.  It’s hard to imagine a similar situation playing out today.
