We’re bound to hear a lot about universal health care over the next year and half leading up to the 2008 election. Today’s Wall Street Journal editorial tackles the practical viability of *”universial” systems. Specifically, they point to the recent failed attempt at universal health care in Illinois. The lesson at hand is: “it is far easier to talk about ’progressive’ political causes than to pay for them without doing larger economic harm.” Candidates should take note.
