What if the U.S. had not invaded Iraq?

“[I]t would be difficult to construct a scenario in which the ultimate outcome of events in Iraq today would be as negative for the United States as a world in which Saddam remains in control of Iraq,” writes Peter Wallison of the American Enterprise Institute on Tech Central Station. Wallison provides a compelling list of reasons why the world would be worse with Saddam still in it (including: it would be hard to argue that Iran not go nuclear if Saddam were still next door).
