Like many this afternoon, I am closely watching and awaiting the remarks to Congress from General Petraus and Ambassador Crocker. I can’t help but be struck by the irony of a Congress that can’t even put together a hearing room with working microphones, papers passed out at the appropriate time and such, about to pass judgment on a General who works under circumstances incrementally more difficult.

A Congress that can’t get things to function in Washington, commenting on what they see as scant progress in Iraq. It doesn’t instill confidence and as I said before is incredibly ironic.
