IWF visiting fellow Vicki Murray has a great new education policy paper available here. Vicki takes a close look at the “blue ribbon” schools, as awarded through No Child Left Behind. Unfortunately, reality isn’t always as pretty as the blue ribbon label sounds. Fortunately for parents and for policymakers, Vicki outlines reform options that would bring more accountability and transparency to the system.
