Hyperion Power Generation, a private company based in New Mexico is doing their part to create emissions free, energy alternatives. They have created a self contained, portable nuclear reactor that should be on the market in 5 years, complete with a $25 million price tag. The small reactor will create enough energy to supply power to 20,000 homes for up to 10 years. Municipalities seeking to reduce their carbon footprint should put their money where there mouth is and get on the waiting list for one of these tiny power plants.
