Pittsburgh Public Schools have a policy that the lowest grade you can get is 50%…even if you don’t do the assignment. Not surprisingly, when you create that sort of perverse incentive, plenty of kids are happy to get 50% of the credit for 0% of the effort. Luckily, the school district is considering changing the policy.
