Becoming aware of their struggle is essential, particularly as we live in a country where we not confronted with concerns of high maternal mortality rates, girls prevented from attending school, lack of sanitation, etc.


Educating ourselves about the world and raising awareness about human rights violations women and girls are faced with should have us question what role governments are (or aren’t) playing to improve conditions which can simply be addressed if sincere efforts were made.
