As the death toll from the recent brushfires in Australia creeps closer to 200, conflicting stories have come out about the cause of these fires.  Authorities in Australia have charged arson suspect Brendan Sokaluk with starting the fire that has led to such widespread devastation.  However, this article from the New Scientist seems to indicate the IPCC’s climate models predicted these fires.  The New Scientist article seems to be making quite a stretch with their headline because I am certain that the modeling did not predict a firebug would come along and set a fire that would have such terrible consequences.  It seems that global warming alarmists will stop at nothing to perpetuate their fear mongering.

And now the question becomes, will we be seeing the first global warming as a defense to a criminal prosecution?  I suppose if this doesn’t pass the “straight-faced test,” he can always claim climate change delusion.
