Last week, I posted to the Inkwell blog a great article from the WSJ detailing how cap-and-trade legislation, in practice, would not only be a regressive tax significantly impacting lower income families, but also how various regions across the country would be particularly devastated by this type of legislation.  Apparently eight Senate Democrats read the same article and began to worry about the impact of a cap-and-trade scheme on their home states (and likely their future political careers) and have expressed their desire to remove any cap-and-trade legislation from the budget debate.  Click here to read about the political significance of this move.
