It’s no surprise that a majority of Americans believe that workers deserve a secret ballot when deciding whether or not to unionize.  That’s the finding of a new Rasmussen poll, and it confirms what IWF found when we did a poll of small business owners.  Overwhelmingly small business owners felt that doing away with secret ballots and creating a “check card” regime would hurt their businesses and damage relations with employees. The real question is if Congress also recognizes that the right to a secret ballot is fundamental to democracy, or if they are more concerned with keeping the union bosses happy….
