The acting head of cyber security stepped down on Tuesday for “personal reasons.” Now the search is on for the next cyber czar. Senior executives have turned down the job already, making the job, an already difficult one, harder to fill. The person to fill the position needs two skills that hardly come together, technological and political skills.

The price to pay is high when there is no one to fill the spot. Roger Thornton, chief technology officer for Fortify software told The Examiner  “Clearly every day we don’t have someone at the helm of this problem, we’re exposed more than we should be.”
