The New York Times reports that a growing number of seniors have been defecting from AARP due to dissatisfaction over the association’s support for ObamaCare.
A new group, the American Senior Association (slogan: “the benefits you want. The representation you deserve,”) has sprung up to replace it, calling for seniors to tear up their AARP membership cards and mail them in to receive a two-year membership for the price of one.
60 Plus, another senior advocacy organization that has been around for several years, recently launched a limited-edition bumper sticker saying “AARP: Association AGAINST Retired Persons.”
