Are you a charter school teacher or thinking about becoming one? Then check out a new resource from the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE). Launched earlier this month, CharterTeacher.com is a new website focused on providing resources for charter school teachers, charter school leaders and administrators, and those who aspire to teach in a charter school. “Our goal is to work even more closely with charter schools to ensure that every charter school student has a great teacher,” says ABCTE CEO David Saba. CharterTeacher.com features a free, fully searchable charter school jobs section that allows charter administrators to post open positions at their school. Aspiring teachers can also post their resumes online through CharterTeacher.com.

An online forum within CharterTeacher.com provides a place to share tips, success stories, and other information. The site also includes a page focused on providing the latest charter school news and information, as well as upcoming conferences, job fairs and webinars for the charter school community. Today the country is struggling to put teachers of top talent in classrooms, and more accomplished professionals are interested in changing careers and becoming teachers. The advent of ABCTE’s CharterTeacher.com couldn’t be timelier.
