WASHINGTON, April 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) launches its latest campaign, Balanced Education for Everyone (BEE) on Monday, April 5.  The campaign advocates for parents to take control of their children’s education, especially when it comes to alarmist global warming indoctrination.

“Parents need to ask their children’s teachers, ‘What are you doing for Earth Day this year?'” said IWF President and CEO Michelle Bernard.  “Too often, our children are being subjected to terrifying lectures on global warming and movies like ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and ‘The 11th Hour,’ while being told they represent settled science.  That’s just not the case.

Studies show our children fear global warming as ‘a threat to their future well-being.’  It’s wrong for schools to try to scare our children and not provide them with another perspective on global warming.  Schools are supposed to present facts and let students make judgments for themselves.”

As we approach Earth Day on April 22, IWF is encouraging parents to join with concerned citizens around the country in challenging public schools to provide balanced education on the issue of global warming.

With Not Evil Just Wrong, a feature-length documentary that confronts the erroneous claims of environmental extremists, parents and local activists now have a compelling and scientifically accurate film about the true relationship between humans and the environment.

The scientific and academic process is supposed to welcome criticism and other evidence, but global warming advocates have perpetually silenced opposition — even when it is scientifically sound. It’s time for parents to band together to ensure their children get the education they deserve.
