Former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s latest political ad for conservative women is catching a lot of attention.

Many are wondering if it’s a pre-cursor to a presidential run.

In her ad Palin says, “This year will be remembered as the year common sense conservative women get things done for our country.”

Her latest ad may have a familiar message, but it is the packaging that’s new with a sleek web video called “Mama Grizzlies.”

“Here in Alaska, I always think of the mama grizzly bears that rise up on their hind legs when somebody’s coming to attack their cubs,” Palin said.

The “Mama Grizzly” wave has been gaining momentum online.

You could call the push “the world-wide wilderness” as the video was launched on Palin’s you tube channel. Palin promoted the ad on her Twitter and Facebook pages, where she often endorses the “mama grizzlies” she talks about.

“Women are rising up and saying ‘no.’ We’ve had enough already, because moms kinda just know when something’s wrong,” Palin said. “You thought pitt bulls were tough. Well, you don’t want to mess with the mama grizzlies.”

So far this year, four of those women candidates have taken the Palin momentum to the primary finish line. You won’t see any of them in the video though. That, has political analysts talking.

“It was a really unusual ad in that it was just it was a brand Palin ad. It was very general, and she didn’t actually endorse any one specific candidate,” Nicki Kurokawa, senior policy analyst with the Independent Women’s Forum, said.

It was all Palin all the time, but some wonder if the two-minute web video is just the beginning of a two year presidential run?

“It hit a lot of positive notes, and it was very polished, and she looked very presidential,” Kurokawa said. “So if not for this, then definitely this shows that she is planning on influencing the 2010 elections in a big way. So this is just testing the waters for greater things.”
