The President plans to spend another $50 billion (of money we don’t have) on infrastructure spending in hopes of, once again, jump starting the economy. Supposedly, it’s going to be front-loaded, in other words, it will be spent on “shovel ready projects” (though I don’t expect to hear that term).

How can this be? After our last nearly trillion dollar stimulus, how can any urgent, necessary infrastructure projects be left unfunded? And if $800 billion on this kind of stimulus didn’t really work a year ago, why would $50 billion work now?

Does anyone else have the sense that the Administration has absolutely no idea what it’s doing?
