In honor of National School Choice Week, let’s review this excellent tutorial from Cato Institution’s Adam Schaeffer on the true cost of public education:
As Schaeffer points out in the video, due to dishonest accounting, the District of Columbia reports that it spends around $17,000 on each student’s education. The real cost is over $28,000. For that, DC parents could be sending their kids to some of DC’s best private schools–alongside the Obama children.
