Is anyone surprised that Vice President Biden put his foot in his mouth…again?
Calling members of the Tea Party “terrorists”is just the latest is a long stream of embarrassments from the Vice President (in a lesser reported story, yesterday he reportedlysaid Gabby Giffords is now part of the “cracked head club,” whatever that is!).
However, as a good friend of mine–a senior Senate staffer–remarked on Biden’s latest gaffe, what’s really disgusting is his timing:
“The day Giffords returns to Congress, Joe Biden calls his political opponents terrorists with guns.”
Like my friend, I look forward to the wall-to-wall coverage decrying the lack of civility in Washington….
