Bill Ayers, co-founder of the radical Weather Underground group, made headlines in 2008 during the Presidential election as his relationship with President Obama was at issue.  Fox News reports that Ayers gave a pep talk to an Occupy Wall Street group where he said the following:

I get up every morning thinking, today I'm gonna make a difference. Today I'm gonna end capitalism. Today I'm gonna make a revolution. I go to bed every night disappointed, but I'm back again tomorrow. That's the only way you can do it.

Yes, read that again: "Today I'm gonna end capitalism."

The Ayers video clip is available here (forward to the 30 second mark to avoid his strong language in the beginning).

Often we see hints of this goal in statements from politicians couched in softer language.  I haven't seen such a direct statement in a while and wanted to share it.  This statement from Ayers is a reminder that there are people out there who really want to make revolution and completely change our economic system.  At a time of economic challenges, some people will likely be tempted by Ayers message.  This makes it even more important for us to speak out against such statements.
