OBAMA'S FIRST TIME AD IS UTTERLY SEXIST
The President Only Knows How To Speak To One Specific Type of Woman

Heath: "If the White House thinks all women are this way, this is utterly sexist. Would they make an ad like this for men if Michelle were running against Ann Romney?  No.  Not only do they demean sex, they make women out to be downright silly about it."

(Washington, D.C.) —  Yesterday, the Obama campaign released a new web ad where actress Lena Dunham compares losing her virginity to her first time voting for Obama in what may be the campaign's direct response to last months' Independent Women's Voice "Boyfriend" ad, which portrays Obama as the boyfriend that seemed perfect but has left women feeling cheated.

After trailing behind, a new Associated Press-GfK poll shows Romney pulling even with Obama among women at 47-47. Is the Obama campaign desperate to show that he is a "good boyfriend" and worth the women's vote… again?

Independent Women's Forum released the following statements in response to "Your First Time:"

Hadley Heath, single young women and senior policy analyst at the Independent Women's Forum, said:

"This ad simply proves that the Obama Campaign only knows how to speak to one specific type of woman.  And I'm proud to say I am not that type of woman.

"If the White House thinks all women are this way, this is utterly sexist. Would they make an ad like this for men if Michelle were running against Ann Romney?  No.  Not only do they demean sex, they make women out to be downright silly about it."

Charlotte Hays, director of cultural programs at the Independent Women's Forum, said:

"We all know that campaigns are desperate for clever ways to connect with voters.  Yet there should be some standards.  Most Americans view their right to vote with some reverence.  Can't the President and his campaign show some respect for the gravity of the voting process?

"This is a new descent into vulgarity. That a campaign would cut an ad such ad heralds a profound cultural shift in our country and not a good one. This had got to be our first R-rated presidential campaign ad. But it is the logical extension of the Obama campaign's urging women to "vote our lady parts." No wonder women are moving towards Governor Romney."
