One of the best aspects of modern life is that we have a safe, abundant and diverse food supply that previous generations could only dream up. Even though Americans today are feeling the pinch of rising grocery prices, we should still recognize that great strides have been made in food affordability and quality. That is largely due to technological advances in agricultural methods and food manufacturing. These advances enable farmers to increase yield using less land and allows the food industry to maximize the value of their resources. Sadly, hunger remains a problem in many parts of the world, which is why we need to encourage the development and use of more innovation in farming and food production.
