Today, Thursday, May 16th, the Independent Women's Forum hosts "The Lean In Debate" at the Decatur House in Washington, D.C. With over 300 tickets reserved, the event will focus on Sheryl Sandberg's book Lean In and the recent onslaught of advice for women on how to juggle work and family and make it to the top.

At the event, Fox Business Network journalist Elizabeth MacDonald and a panel of prominent women — powerhouses in their own right — will weigh the pros and cons of leaning in. While some women are inspired by calls to “lean in” to their careers, many women simply don’t aspire to corner offices. Why has this touched a nerve? Should we all just calm down and take a listen? What really stands in the way of women achieving that holy grail of work-family balance?

The event will take place at 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Decatur House on Lafayette Square (1610 H Street, NW).
This event is sponsored by APCO Worldwide and Holland & Knight.
