Just when I thought the alarmists had done enough crazy, there's more.
The U.S. Postal Service plans to destroy the Just Move! stamp which was designed to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in achieving a healthy lifestyle.
Now, look, I generally giggle at these efforts. Yeah…I bet kids are really going to be inspired to walk to school or turn off the television because they saw mom put a Lets Move! stamp on the water bill.
Uh huh.
But the stamp’s efficacy is not the reason the stamps are being destroyed. Nope, the reason for the stamp's retirement is because the U.S. Postal Service received concerns from the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition over alleged “unsafe” acts depicted on three of the stamps. These unsafe acts included the cannonball dive, skateboarding without kneepads and a doing a headstand without a helmet).
OH THE HORROR…skinned knees, helmetless-handstands, splash producing dives. Thank God there’s someone looking out for our kids!
But that's not it for the crazy. Next up: Alarmist loving Huffpo Parents publishes a warning about….water. Because what else is left?
