The U.S. Postal Service reportedly plans to destroy the "Just Move" stamps since the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition raised concerns that some of the activities shown may promote risky behavior.

The stamps in question involve the cannonball dive, skateboarding without kneepads and doing a headstand without a helmet.

Julie Gunlock, senior fellow at the Independent Women's Forum (IWF), says, "That's really rich, when you apparently can't do anything with knee pads and can't dive in certain ways." (Read Gunlock's related commentary)

"It's just astounding what the government considers risky behavior, and they wonder why kids are getting fat nowadays," she continues. "It's because everything is too scary. They should just stay home and play their safe video games on the couch."

Gunlock goes on to argue that no one really thinks a child will get a bad idea "because mom put a stamp on the water bill."

"But I still think that it is insane, and it shows how cautious we've become and frankly how wimpy we've become if the government actually thinks these stamps are somehow a danger to children," the mom concludes.

Stamps not in question include jumping rope, playing soccer and standing with one leg on a rock while stretching
