says that Republicans shut down the government, and they need donations “to make sure they pay a political price .” As Investor’s Business Daily explains:

Signers of's online petition are asking the Justice Department "to arrest Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Speaker of the House John Boehner and other decision-making House Republican leaders" for shutting down the government and threatening the economy with default in "an attempt to extort the United States government into altering or abolishing the Affordable Care Act."

The petition says the perpetrators were involved in "self-evidently a seditious conspiracy" and demands that they be arrested immediately and brought to justice.

As of Friday afternoon, the petition had garnered more than 40,000 signatures. And, yes, it's a juvenile gesture based on a factually incorrect accusation.

The GOP did not shut down the government. That was done by a Democratic Senate and White House that refused to consider legislation passed by a House that was fulfilling its constitutional duty with measures that would have ended the impasse.

The petition is juvenile in that has no authority. If it did, the petition would be cause for alarm. Boehner, Cantor and others would have already been arrested and hauled before the inquisitors.

As law professor and blogger Glenn Reynolds says, "these people are making plain how they think, and what they'd do if they had the power to." Reynolds warns to "take it seriously, because they do."

…a s we can see, some on the left are not only capable of hate but also want to imprison those who disagree with them. Dissent must be crushed.

Here's a glimpse of the open, tolerant society backers would foist on us if we shut up and let them.
