Released this week The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Pushes Back from the Brink, a political campaign filled with celebrity reports, documentaries, and events, perpetuates the myth that America is inherently unfair to women and girls today, encourages even greater dependence on the state and suggests even more government control over our lives. The report succeeds at exposing just how vulnerable many women – especially unmarried women – are, but does little to explore the driving forces behind these challenges.
Independent Women's Forum understands there are real and legitimate difficulties and hardship that plague many women and their families. But ultimately we need long-term, sensible solutions and policies to help grow our economy, encourage job creation and a more flexible workplace, and increase opportunity for all Americans, women and men alike.
That's why IWF launched our #IAmWoman campaign. We want your help to identify the REAL ways to help "women (and men) on the brink."
